Darker roasts are not often found among ‘speciality’ or modern coffee roasters. Traditional, BIG, bold and nostalgic, coffee that tastes, well, like coffee. Our approach is a modern take on a classic. To take a high-quality raw product, suited to a darker style, and let that coffee express itself in a darker world. These coffees can have a variety of flavours, yet will always have a full-bodied mouthfeel, muted acidity and a touch of bitterness. We aim to do this without adding any smokey, ashy, rubbery or chemical flavours sometimes associated with dark roasts.
