Sun and Moon Duo

from $36.00

Try our medium roast, Sunshine and our dark roast, Moonlight in a tasting pack at a special price.

Sunshine (Organic)

Consider this our signature coffee. Sometimes a blend, sometimes not. Always designed to be balanced, sweet and textural. Roasted for Espresso but enjoyed with milk, or without. There are no hard and fast rules with this one - brew for filter, french press, batch brewer, stovetop. Hell, even a saucepan if you like. You do you, boo.

Rwanda - Mbilima Women’s Coffee (Organic)

Smooth · Dried Apricot · Butterscotch

Dripping with stickiness this is our favourite time of year for Sunshine.

Sourced from the north of the country these women have successfully advocated for themselves to market and sell their coffees separate from the rest of the co-op.This pays them an extra bonus on top of the quality bonus they already receive.

Moonlight (Organic)

Old school. Because we're not here to judge. Just make delicious coffee. Everyone deserves access to excellent coffee, sourced responsibly. We developed Moonlight for all those dark roast lovers out there. The challenge is always to create a rich, bold brew without the burnt or bitter flavours. Sweet, low acid, and true to origin. Hard work. The hardest thing we do. For the lovers, not the haters.

Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) - Buruga Micro-Station (Organic)

Bold · Rich · Black Forest Cake

East African coffees are really well suited to the darker side of the arts. With deep rich fruits and heavy chocolate, this coffee has turned into a perfectly formed Black Forest Cake.

After, and still enduring, years of civil war and utter turmoil, the farmers of eastern Congo can now export their coffee for the rest of us to enjoy.

We have been wanting to get our hands on these coffees for quite some time after first experiencing them in the UK many years ago.

The SOPACDI co-op are at the forefront of the industry in DRC having grown from 19 members in 2008 to over 5,300 today. They were the first to be FTO and organic certified and have been awarded the highest coffee grade in the country.
