Colombia, El Plan, Honey Processed
Variety: Caturra, Castillo, Typica
Expression: Fruity
Crisp Apples · Sweet Berries · Vanilla
A super clean, sweet and aromatic coffee from the famed hills of Aponté. 'Honey Processed' by leaving some of the fruit on the coffee as it dried, helping give this coffee its unique profile.
The Inga people of Aponté operate as an indigenous reserve independent from the Colombian government. Although this lot was grown by a single producer, Rolando Janamejoy, the Inga own their land collectively with town leaders in charge of how it is developed or cultivated. This communal way of approaching agriculture and society has led the producers of Aponte to be world leaders in how they cultivate and process their coffees.
This coffee has been imported by our partners at MCM - more information about the producers can be found here
